project design of a 5-star-hotel.

client: dete immobilien

an architectural eye catcher of the hotel is the coloured cube structure, practically breaking out of the facade, which has a public bar and a conference room in order to give a special attraction to the hotel. the room is obviously parted in three functional areas: the bathroom, the wardrobe and the sleeeping area. the bathroom should be more sensual through the transparency which is created by a body of silk-screen printed glass. the wardrobe seems to be floating in the room and has fibre glass doors through which one can slightly see the clothes. the bed area seems like a cocoon with the wooden flooring which is continuing towards the ceiling and then becomes desk and bed. the whole room concept breakes out of the conventions of a monotonous room through the distinctive creation of sensuality.
