the former kempinski hotel bad saarow (today ‚das brandenburg’) is the first resort hotel of the kempinski hotel chain and was integrated directly into the surroundings of the beautiful lake side by using different natural materials.
the combination of functionality and contemporary design enhances the uniqueness of the hotel. the symmetry of the architecture was completed by partly curved forms to outline functional areas as for example the reception and the bar. most of the lighting is indirect. many of these colours are found in the bad saarow area. the concept concentrates on the enhancement of an atmosphere which is characterized by nature’s variations and the creativity and individuality of the building, thus creating a unique hotel where the guest feels comfortable.
