interior design for a herb depot with a tea bar.
client: galini gmbh, berlin
the chinese herb depot receives its character through the prominent design
language of the furniture as well as the fine coordination of light and
colours. a tea bar is situated beside a seating area with the colours
of the depot. the curved form of the bar forms a juxtuposition to the
strict geometrical form of the floor-to-ceiling cabinets with more than
300 drawers and is repeated in the form of the tea bar. the light cubes
on the wall of the seating area are freely arranged. the wooden flooring
made of bamboo and the grass wallpaper show the east asian influence in
design which is enhanced by the use of transparent materials. warm light
from direct and indirect sources completes the harmonic design concept
of all components.
